Over the coming decades, economic, political, demographic, technological, and other trends will radically change the dynamics of our society. Megatrends are not far off points in the future but rather "rivers we are wading into" whose course we might not be able to change in the near or long term. Achieving a better understanding of where we are going can help deepen our normative vision of what the future ought to look like, and our understanding of what kinds of strategies can better help us get there. Through collective analysis and discussion of the 18 megatrends, we can begin to outline visions for Democracy, Macro-Economy, Localization, New Social Contract and Values in 2035.
